I grew up in the Douro Valley region of Portugal and spent a lot of time outdoors while being surrounded by plants, rivers, vineyards, trees and many types of living beings. So, I am drawn to Botanics – by nature & by knowledge as a former pharmacotherapist – & in this article, I am exploring new ways to look bright outside as a mirror of the inside.

Taking care of our skin goes behind the facial visualization or evaluation of the surface of our skin. For me, it is not only about how the skin looks like & concerns with creams – as satisfying as that is – it is about deeply understanding the skin and the person who lives under that skin to root out the causes.

If you follow me on my Instagram – @doliveirafashionblog – you know that I always apply creams by following my needs/lifestyle & the needs that I perceive from my skin. It is not easy, but if you start to do it every day, you will for sure understand better your skin and what it needs in that precisely day.

As mentioned in the title – Inside is Just Important as Outside – we know that our skin is a mirror of our health. As my Pharmacotherapy Teacher – Dra. Fátima Roque – used to say “We can say that a person has depression by looking at her skin”. 10 years later, I still remember that & now as I further explore this subject, I am seeing that the latest scientific studies are establishing a relationship between the gut and skin microbiome.

“The gut and skin microbiota are made up of trillions of microbes, derived from thousands of different strains, that live together as an intricate ecological community. These microbiota, along with their metabolic byproducts and host interactions, directly influence both normal physiology and disease processes.”

Microorganisms 20197(11), 550; https://doi.org/10.3390/microorganisms7110550

In that scientific review, it is discussed the relationship between the gut and skin microbiome and various dermatological diseases including acne, psoriasis, rosacea, and atopic dermatitis.

As so, the scientific knowledge is saying to us that what we eat, the amount of good sleep we have, the amount of sun exposition (don’t forget to always use sunscreens!!!!), the amount of exercise (please hydrate yourself!!!), our lifestyle in general and even the clothes we use might influence our general health & our skin by consequence. Interesting, right?!

In the urge to find skincare products that fulfil my needs, I came across with Easy2Cart. This is a brand from AGSK Services Private Limited in India to operate online in North and South America, Canada, UK, Europe and the rest of the world. In addition to an online store, they operate and run E-Commerce Platform, Advertisement and Film Production. Also, the company has invested portions of its assets in the purchase and sale of securities such as stocks and bonds as well as Forex trading on global markets. What I found more attractive on this brand were their core values, which are treating the customers with respect and faith while growing through creativity, invention, and innovation. The plus? They want a close relationship with the customers. That is amazing, right? It makes me feel that we have someone interested in our wellness.

At Easy2Cart E-Commerce Platform, I found the skincare brand RtopR. It was the first time I hear about RtopR, but some of their skincare products have amazing reviews. Therefore, I want to try some of them ❤

The first skincare product that I want to try is RtopR Mango Removing Blackhead Face Mask!

Since ALWAYS – or almost – Blackhead was a problem for me. Besides that, I never tried a mask. So, it would be an amazing first time for it. Don’t you think?

RtopR describes that the product can penetrate deeply into pores while softening skin cutin. It will remove the blackhead by adsorption plus the hiding dirt from the pores. A plus?! Yup! It cleans and moisturizes the skin.

The other skincare product that I want to try is RtopR Moroccan Hair Essential Oil

For me, my hair is a piece of my identity. Then, taking care of my hair is an important & long consuming task to perform every single day!

As the name states, it contains argan extract, which contains polyphenols, tocopherol composition, and some phenolic compounds that can help in inflammation. However, the concentration of these compounds depends on the method of extraction.* Also, if you try it, make sure you are not allergic to argan!**

After exploring the argan oil, I found some interesting facts. So, argan is made from the kernel of the Argan tree, which is native to Morocco. Also, it seems to be a popular oil in the celebrity world:

“High-quality oil-infused products are essential to maintaining shiny, healthy hair because hair oils are made to penetrate into your strands, as opposed to serums, which usually sit on the surface of the strands,” says Hughes.

“Vitamin E helps keep your follicles free from damage while helping to prevent splitting and breakage,” says Fitzsimons***

Well, I hope you liked our little conversation about this subject & I hope to expand some topics in the near future.
